OTGUARD CE is a highly effective product with Bactericidal, Fungicidal Virucidal, sporicidal, tubercolocidal mildew stat, cleaner and deodoriser properties.
It is an ideal disinfection for pharmaceutical industry (injectable, syrup, and tablet formulation), Animal contact farming/ food and hospitality industry.
OTGUARD CE is ideal for critical and non-critical areas in Hospital like, OT, ICU, Nurseries, Microbiology labs, transplant units, Burn units, Oncology unit etc. Product can be used for fogging, mopping, dusting, wiping & spraying applications.
Direction of Use:
1. Surface Moping : 4 ml OTGUARD CE is to be diluted in 1000 ml of water .Mop the area with the help of mopping cloth. Freshly prepared solution is recommended.
2. Environment: 5ml OTGUARD CE is to be diluted in 1000 ml of water .This solution is sufficient for fogging of 1000cft area. Diluted solution is stable up to 64 days but freshly prepared solution is always recommended.

Mode of Action:
Disinfectants act on microorganisms in two different ways: growth inhibition(bacteriostasis, fungistasis) or lethal action (bactericidal, fungicidal or virucidal effects).
Only the lethal effects are of interest in disinfection and, as the objects of treatment have no inherent means of defence, lethality is the desired objective.
OTGUARD CE is a complex formulations of active molecules, containing co-solvents, chelating agents, alkaline agents, and surface-active products.
Action on the external membrane of the bacterial wall: A bacterium is protected from its environment by a membrane, the integrity of which is essential to survival of the bacterium. This membrane consists of basic compounds such as phospholipids and lipopolysaccharides, and is stabilised by Mg + + and Ca + + cations. Thus, ionised disinfecting molecules are absorbed by electrical charges at the initial contact and absorption stage, which leads other molecules through the membrane. Other molecules will be able to disturb the organisation of the membrane.
Action on the cytoplasmic membrane An active molecule, such as a nutrient, penetrates the cytoplasmic membrane by passive diffusion (non-specific and slow) which leads to the release of IONS and other Cytoplasmic Constituents thus leading to the death or inactivation of microorganisms.
