IDGUARD OPA is a high level disinfectant which requires no activation or mixing with a 5 minutes soaking time for both manual as well as automatic endoscope reprocessors. It is an ideal disinfectant for heat sensitive reusable semi-critical medical devices such as endoscopes. It destroys mycobacterium within 5 minutes and provides fast acting broad spectrum killing power even in presence of Organic soils. IDGUARD OPA is highly effective against spore and Hepatitis Band C viruses.

Gray Marking Technology:
OPA stains proteins grey, is an important indicator about the cleaning prior to disinfection. If instrument got grey mark it means cleaning is not proper and needs to be done again.

Mode of Action:
A sequence of events responsible for the antimicrobial action of OPA: it binds to membrane receptors due to cross-linkage; impairs the membrane functions allowing the biocide to enter through the permeabilized membrane; it interacts with intracellular reactive molecules, such as RNA, compromising the growth cycle of the cells and, at last, with DNA.

Directions For Use:
Proper cleaning of surface is required to remove blood and other residuals from the device. Thoroughly rinse and dry the instrument before immersing in IDGUARD OPA. IDGUARD OPA can be used directly from the bottle.Imerse the device for min 5 min at 25*c or 12 min at 20*c to achieve High level disinfection. After removing the devise from IDGUARD OPA wash it thoroughly with large volume of sterile water.
